What is Get It Planet?
Get it Planet is an online marketplace and web-based software for people who conduct business in the Events Industry. Our mission is to help planners find reliable vendors, and help vendors get more qualified business. This unique community based system will help you build networks of trusted buyers and sellers. Who started Get It Planet?
Seven years in the making, Get It Planet is the labor of love and brainchild of David Martin, a former event producer, who wanted to find a way to help producers and planners find easier and more efficient ways to plan, manage and run their events, and to help vendors get more business.
Who uses GIP?
There are two distinct Get It Planet users:
- Planners

How do planners use our system?
They use it to help them plan, manage and run their events. They use our digital RFP (Request for Proposal) system to help them streamline and organize their vendor proposals from their current list of preferred vendors. They also use our system to find new, reliable and pre-qualified vendors by posting requests to our Event Marketplace and by browsing our Vendor Marketplace.

How do vendors use our system?
They use our system for many reasons, but the main reason is for the exposure to our thousands of active event planners. Learn to network and market your products and services with top listings in Google, Yahoo and MSN. Build large reseller networks and buyers of your products and services. With membership, vendors get many easy to use web-based products and services that help them get more business and centralize their voicemail, email and fax communications. What is the Marketplace?
We have two public marketplaces, the Events Marketplace and the Vendor Marketplace.
- The Events Marketplace is where planners post requests for services like catering, entertainment, party locations, and meeting space. where planners can look for new vendors.
- The Vendor Marketplace is where our planners can fine new vendors, and order products from them. All postings you see in the Events Marketplace are actual planners posting event requests and are looking for quality Vendors to help them. Every posted request is verified by our Get It Planet staff.
How do I know the requests posted to the marketplace are valid?
The Get It Planet staff verifies all planner requests. All postings you see in the Events Marketplace are actual planners posting real event requests and are looking for quality Vendors to help them.
How can a vendor contact a planner who has posted a request?
In order to contact the planner, a vendor must bid for the business, and to bid, the vendor must be a Get It Planet member. To become a member, click here.
